This is an original censored WWII Army Cover (envelope with bicolored border) dated July 22, 1944 and is franked with stamp #UC3 "Air Mail". The envelop was sent by Lt. F. J. Markham to Mrs. Frank J. Markham, 15 Elberon Place, Albany, New York. Nevertheless the envelope contains nothing.
The address the envelope was sent from was APO #83 which was in Normandy, France on this date.
Note: On July 22, 1944, Co. M, 330th IR was engaged in stubborn resistance by German troops at Remilly Sur Lozon, Normandy, France.
